What’s Thai Massage?
As its name suggests, Thai massage is a traditional technique from Thailand. It was born from the fusion of Yoga, originally from India, and Acupressure, from China. This combination makes it possible to distinguish two main styles of the technique: the Northern style, from Chiang Mai, which focuses more on stretching, and the Southern style, from Bangkok, which concentrates mainly on acupressure. Also known as Nuad Thai, it is a therapy with more than 2,500 years of history and is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage
If you’ve never experienced Thai Massage, here’s some information about the session:
-The session is carried out on the floor, on a special mattress
-The client remains dressed in comfortable clothing (there is no need to bring any, as it is provided by the establishment)
-For oil-based treatments, such as Thai Oil Massage or Deep Tissue, the client is semi-nude.
-The therapist uses their hands, thumbs, forearms, knees, and feet.
Beneficts:
-Pain reduction

-Deep relaxation
-Stimulation of blood circulation
